Naina (Deepika Padukone) is a young studious woman... maybe too much. She knows she's unhappy, stuck in her routine. On a headbutt, she decides to go on an organized trip to Manali, during which she meets late classmates : Aditi (Kakli Koechlin), Avy (Aditya Roy Kapur) and Bunny (Ranbir Kapoor), former popular student who wants to travel the world. By hanging with Bunny, Naina learns how to have fun, especially during Balam Pichkari, where their mutual interest grows...Nota bene : the bhaang is a drink made with cannabis, very popular in India, during Holi. So Naina compares the feeling of love with the extase one's feel after drinking bhaang.
